1. Transitional Implants (TI) are not included in the current database. Zygomatic
implants are also not included. Mini implants are included.
2. Older implant systems that their respective manufacturers no longer produce are
included in the database for reference. Implants produced by companies that have
closed down are not included except for implants produced by companies that merged
with or bought out from other companies.
3. In cases of corporate companies with worldwide branches, the details of the manufacturer
appearing on the database are those of the corporate office (central office).
4. Zirkonia and Alumina implants are not included in the current version.
5. All implant diameters in the database refer to implant diameter at the first
1-2 threads and not at the prosthetic platform diameter.
6. Whenever the term ‘Machined/Roughened’ appears under the ‘Surface’ option, it
is followed by characterisation of the roughened surface if the company has provided
us with this information.
7. For clarification purposes, Implant Description refers to Type of Abutment Connection
and Implant Type refers to Implant Body Shape.
